Our OpinionAT&T?s new service offers looks like all the rest on the surface, but it falls a little short once you take a closer look. Two plans are offered ? the all-you-can-talk unlimited plan for $29.95 per month and the unlimited local calling plan, with long distance billed at 4 cents per minute for $19.95 per month. AT&T offers a free first month. but a 1-year contract is required. CallVantage doesn?t offer nearly as many features as Packet 8 or Vonage, and E911 service is not offered at all. Take a look at our sample international calling rates page and you'll notice that AT&T's rates are usually the highest for every country. And our feature comparison chart shows that CallVantage lacks in the feature department, as well. In this case, the AT&T name alone isn?t enough to justify choosing this service with a low feature list and high costs. OrderVoIP believes that consumers shouldn't be confused by marketing of traditional phone companies that are rushing into the internet phone world -- it's totally different technology and the small nimble players have an advantage in both price and feature offerings. OrderVoIP gives this service a one-star rating. Order AT&T CallVantage Now! Available PlansResidential
